Regularity Record (Leave)

  1. Leave of absence may be granted to a student for sufficient causes, by only on previous application, in writing from the parents.
  2. If a student is absent through illness medical certificate is essential. Pupils who have been absent from class must have the reason entered in the Regularity Record by the parent/guardian stating briefly the cause of the absence or delay. Those who absent themselves are responsible to make up for the lessons missed.

 

Absence from Class

Staying away from school without leave is not tolerated except when the cause is sudden illness or unforeseen circumstances. No leave of absence is given nor is any student allowed to go away from school during school hours without a previous written application from the guardian stating the reasons which must be a serious one. Such reasons as birthdays, excursions, time to study for an examination are not considered sufficient. Whenever leave has been sanctioned, the fact should be recorded in the Regularity Record.

After an absence from class, students must bring the reasons duly entered in the Regularity record stating briefly the causes of the absence or delay. The school decline all responsibility, if through failure to produce a student is obliged to return home during school hours.

Name of pupils who have been absent from the school for a considerable period without permission are liable to be struck off the rolls and may not be re-admitted.

 

Examination

  1. Students who absent themselves from the Examination for any reason other than sickness, justified by a medical certificate, will be considered as having failed.
  2. Absence from any examination/test involves a total loss of marks. Wilful breach of any of the regulations for the conduct of examination is punishable with Expulsion from the examination room and if discovered subsequently, cancelling that particulars paper.
  3. No Examination will be held before or after the actual date fixed for the examination.
  4. The decision of the Principal with regard to promotion or failure is final.

 

Attitude Towards Teachers

  1. Respect every teacher whether of your own class or not Be grateful to those who taught you in the past. Show you teachers those exterior signs of reverence to which they are entitled such as greeting them whenever you meet them.
  2. Be convinced that your teachers deeply feel their serious obligation to promoting your welfare in the best way they possibly can and that in advising, commanding and correcting you, they have nothing else in view than your own good.
  3. Always raise when your teacher enters class and again when he leaves. If he delays in coming do not make any noise but wait for him in your place in silence reviewing your lesson or reading some good book.
  4. During class avoid whispering or interrupting

 

Attitude to School-Mates

  1. Strive to edify your school-mates by your good example at all times.
  2. Never make fun of those who are backward in their studies or not so quick to grasp their lessons. Let there be no ridiculing of anyone on account of his physical defects. What you laugh at or despise in others may someday befall you.
  3. Gladly help one another. At recreation make no distinction in the choice of your companions. Let no one be slighted in any game and let there be no selfishness. If there be need to make a sacrifice for the sake of the team let it be made cheerfully.

 

Behaviour at School

  1. To write a draw on the blackboard (Except when called upon to do so) to write words offensive to anyone, to soil walls or maps or anything else are things absolutely to be avoided.
  2. Take great care of your text-books, blank books and other belongings. Beware of appropriating your neighbour's property even if it be the smallest thing. Should you find a lost article give it at once to the Headmaster.
  3. Keep the floor clean by allowing no paper or ink to fall on it.
  4. Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

 

Behaviour Outside School

  1. Speak no ill of your school-mates, or of the discipline or management of the school. Everyone is perfectly free to remain or not to remain, in the school.
  2. Always speak well of your school and of your teachers.

 

Recommendations to Parents

  1. Parents are informed that occasional reports from the teachers are sent through the Dairy. They should check the Dairy EVERYDAY.
  2. The school discourages private tuition. The Principal should be consulted before engaging private tutors.
  3. Parents are requested to see their ward regular and punctual in attendance.
  4. In case of higher classes parents should see that their children devote sufficient time and create suitable environment for study at home.
  5. Students must wear a School Uniform. To ensure uniformity all orders must be placed with the school tailors. No jewellery is allowed.
